2010 Jerry Lewis Telethon

The Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon (MDA Telethon) is an annual Labor Day event which raises money to combat and find a cure for muscular dystrophy. Muscular dystrophy is a group of inherited diseases in which the voluntary muscles of the body progressively weaken. As of now, there is no cure for this crippling disease.

2010 marks the 45th Annual Labor Day Telethon and featured more than 21 hours of continuous coverage. It was broadcasted on nearly 200 television stations across the country and streamed live over the internet at www.mda.org

Paris By Night received the great honor of being invited to perform in the 45th Annual Jerry Lewis Telethon. The closing number from PBN 100 featuring Nhu Loan and Toc Tien was chosen to be featured on the broadcast. The original song "Tinh Con Dam Me" was translated and performed in English under the title "Passion Remains."

We wanted to share the video of the performance with you. This YouTube clip was taken directly from the television show, therefore the video and audio quality are not that high. We will be releasing a high quality version of this performance later this year on DVD.

2010 Jerry Lewis Telethon featuring Paris by Night

2010 Jerry Lewis Telethon

The Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon (MDA Telethon) is an annual Labor Day event which raises money to combat and find a cure for muscular dystrophy. Muscular dystrophy is a group of inherited diseases in which the voluntary muscles of the body progressively weaken. As of now, there is no cure for this crippling disease.

2010 marks the 45th Annual Labor Day Telethon - and as always the telethon will include a multitude of stars and featured performances. The telethon which will last more than 21 hours will begin at 9PM Eastern on Sunday, September 5 and last through Monday evening (Labor Day) on September 6. It will be broadcast on nearly 200 television stations across the country and with live streaming video over the internet at www.mda.org

We have some VERY EXCITING news we wish to share with you today. Paris By Night has been asked to contribute to this year's telethon. Joe Stewart, Paris By Night's production designer, has also been a long time production designer and integral part of the creative team for the telethon for many years. After seeing the extravagant numbers from Paris By Night 100, he suggested that Paris By Night be part of this year's telethon broadcast.

We have chosen the closing number from Paris By Night 100 featuring Nhu Loan and Toc Tien as our selection for this broadcast. In essence, the entire number will be re-created for the broadcast. The original song "Tinh Con Dam Me" by Vo Hoai Phuc has been translated and re-recorded in English.

Nhu Loan, Toc Tien, all the dancers, and crew are working for free for the charity or for a small honorarium. Thuy Nga is very honored to have this opportunity to stand on an international stage and very excited that an international community will get to see a glimpse of Paris By Night. This is not only an honor for Paris By Night but truly for the entire Vietnamese community.

We hope you will tune in on Monday, September 6, 2010 to view this performance and the other outstanding scheduled performances. At this time, this performance is slotted to air in the 8:00PM - 8:50 hour (California time, PDT). Be sure to mark your calendars and set your Tivos if necessary.

While we are very excited about this opportunity, we would also like to remind you that in the big realm of things, this is all for a great cause. We hope that while you tune it to support Paris By Night you will also contribute to this worthy cause and help the efforts towards finding a cure for this disease.
